Hello! I'm Linda, a recently retired CPS (Chicago Public Schools) technology instructor. While using technology with my students, we had many occasions to utilize the iCollaboratory's various online school projects. I was so impressed with the organization, that I have decided to continue helping others use the iCollaboratory during their teaching / learning experiences. 

Greetings from Northern Illinois, USA!

I teach  7th grade students  (12 - 13 year olds)  science in Antioch, Illinois.  I have been teaching at this school for 14 years and enjoy bringing my experiences in industry prior to teaching into  today's classroom.  I teach between 150 - 180 students each year and teach the highly endorsed US Common Core Standards and Next Generation Science Standards.  My classes have used only interactive and hands-on teaching since I began at this school, so STEAM is an important part of our day. (STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math)

I hold a BS degree in Chemistry, an MBA and an MAT (Masters in the Art of Teaching). I am often awe struck by the wonders of the universe and  I am currently involved in Enterprise in Space, a project of the National Science Society  that  will be launching an orbiter(Enterprise) and will carry 100+ student experiments developed by students from around the world.  (see www.enterpriseinspace.org).  I am excited to be the Manager of the Middle School/Junior High Education Program of this awesome project!
